Wow what a difference in our lives... Sienna started sitting unassisted a few weeks back and has a whole new world now. I brought out all the "sitting" toys and crawling toys and she can sit and just play and have a blast. Bathtime is so much more fun and is alot easier bathing the girls at the same time and going out to eat is also easier and more fun for her in the high chair. So apart from the sitting.. at about 5.5 months her two first teeth emerged from the bottom gum and are adorable. Just another reminder that my baby is growing up tooooooo fast! It is so fun to see the beginning of a great sistership between keira and sienna, they already play and "fight" over toys it is fantastic!
As soon as Sienna turned six months, the earliest age for ISR, we went ahead and put her in lessons. Apparently the younger they start the easier it is and the more natural it is for them to learn the drowning prevention techniques. She amazes me (and almost gives me a heartattack) everyday. I have included some pics and a video as well. we are so happy to be moving into summer!!! it is in the 100's here and we have been swimming alot! Keira starts a combo ballet/tap class on on tuesday which I am so excited about, it will be the first activity that is her in a class with the teacher and no mommy, so it will be good practice for school which starts at the end of july! Speaking of july.. we are making our annual trip to WA to see grandma and grandpa and anyone else that wants to come and visit us :) I for one cant wait!!! it should be a nice break since keira just loves her grandparents and will be following them around the whole time we are there LOL .
so incase you hadnt noticed this blog has really turned into "all about the girls". Rick and I do still have lives.. well sort of :) rick is currently training for the seattle to portland cycling race in july and is still playing hockey. I myself am just trying to get myself back into running.. it is hard to keep motivated when i could be in the pool! .. til next month peace out
