No clue what happened to 2010 but here we are in 2011! The beginning of the year is always exciting and somehow feels rejuvenating. Actually anything would seem that way after thanksgiving, christmas and new years. Anyway we more than survived the holidays even with our growing crew, Jade made it easy on us! I think most people with a new baby would rather pretend that it wasnt really christmas LOL infact I have seen that on one of those HGTV shows. They skipped christmas entirely, but we ploughed on through and actually enjoyed it! I think it was due to the fact that after doing thanksgiving here with a 6 week old that I actually asked my mom to host christmas and luckily she was all for it! I was so nice to be able just to take our time christmas morning and then just show up for dinner... who wouldnt love that! Anyway we had a great relaxing time christmas day and then it was back to hosting duties for new years eve. We did a day time celebration ... a late lunch of steak and salmon on the grill accompanied by a big pitcher of sangria, played the Wii all afternoon and finished it off with a batch of little cupcakes from my babycakes cupcake maker (I seriously need to work on my frosting) and called it a day! All in all it was fun but I am glad to be on the other side and moving onward and upward.
We are a few days from our little Jade Lauren turning 3 months! She is just growing up so fast, I actually have been putting her in the exersaucer for short periods of time because I feel bad that she is so awake and alert and is right at that inbetween time where there is not a ton for her to do! That seems weird to say but the alternative is just lying on the activity mat or sitting in her swing... boring!! she LOVEs the exersaucer and is able to spin the little toys which is super cute!
As for the big sisters, they are loving spending more time interacting with Jade! I have to say I am really ready for us to be back into the school routine, it gets us out of the house in the morning and while the last two weeks have been nice I am OVER feeling this lazy! well that is it for now :)
