Christmas 2011

And just like that Christmas 2011 is over.. I have to admit in the end there I was sad to not be with family... but I think sometimes things just work out for a reason and this year we made the BEST out of just being our little family! We spent christmas eve making cookies and then going for dinner to our favourite spot carrabas.. we definitely went there last year on Christmas eve.. but it is up for debate whether this was our 3rd year or not... I will have to look back at pictures to confirm that. Anyway we did a nice early 4:30 dinner and it was delicious! When we got home there was just enough time to give the girls baths and then put out milk and cookies for santa and sprinkle the oatmeal for the reindeer! I have to say I was probably just as excited for Christmas morning as our girls! Keira and Sienna were really into it this year and although I think Jade was a little overwhelmed by the whole thing she did great! Santa must have decided these girls were good this year... sometimes I wonder if he is slacking on his observation duties LOL no really they were so excited to get just what they had wished for... for keira that was ANYTHING barbie and for Sienna it was a sno cone machine (cone machine) and kookoo birds (yes she threw that one in at the last second! I had never heard of them) overall it was a great year for the hattenburg girls. Mommy was even spoiled with a new camera!! you know what that means.. MORE PICS LOL we finished off Christmas day with great friends Kelly Justin and their kids, they brought over some fireworks, we ate dessert and apparently despite having a new camera I didnt take one picture... it was a perfect ending to a perfect day!!
